[IRD Issues Tax Pooling Checklist]

Inland Revenue has recently posted a tax pooling checklist on its website. This is welcomed by Tax Management NZ as it follows repeated requests to Inland Revenue to provide guidance as to their interpretation of the legislative amendments to the regime enacted in October 2009. Please note that the checklist stops short of providing a definitive list of what is or is not accepted though. In this regard failure to comply with the checklist does not of itself mean you will be unable to use a tax pool so please contact us if you have questions in relation to this checklist and the ability of your client to utilize tax pooling services.
