The second round of TMNZ’s roadshows concluded in Hamilton yesterday.
We would thank those who attended the event at FMG Stadium Waikato, as well as the ones in Wellington (17 October), Christchurch (6 October) and Auckland (5 October).
It was lovely to see so many of our existing clients and meet other attendees for the first time.
Be sure to check out the photos from the roadshows and keep updated on upcoming events by liking TMNZ’s Facebook page.
What was covered at the TMNZ Roadshow
These free roadshows brought together speakers from TMNZ and IRD.
The theme was ‘Business Tax – Current Insights and Future Changes’, and attendees received two CPD hours.
Below are the presentation slides.
TMNZ Chief Executive Chris Cunniffe provided an economic update based on income tax payments made through TMNZ, and also the role tax pooling will play once legislative changes to provisional tax come into effect next April.
IRD’s investigation unit gave a presentation about the work it is doing to combat tax avoidance in what it dubs the ‘Hidden Economy’ and property space.
TMNZ Client Relationship Managers gave a few tips around how to use tax pooling to manage current year income tax liabilities, as well as explain how TMNZ can help in audit situations.
