Tax Management NZ (TMNZ) has donated $10,000 to its three chosen charities as part of its Christmas giving campaign, which let its clients across New Zealand determine how some of the money was allocated.

Starship Foundation received $4400, KidsCan $3000 and Kidney Kids $2600.

Each charity received a minimum donation of $2000 from TMNZ. The remaining $4000 was allocated based on clients’ votes.

TMNZ staff were last year asked to nominate charities which they had a personal connection to or thought would resonate with clients.

They then selected their preferred three. Starship Foundation, KidsCan and Kidney Kids garnered the most votes.

Representatives from each organisation visited TMNZ’s Queen St office to talk to staff about what their charities do and how the donation would help.

TMNZ would like to thank all clients who voted last year. Your vote has made a big difference and has enabled us to spread a little Christmas joy.
